Envío de resúmenes abierto para la Reunión anual de la European Geosciences Union (EGU)

The abstract submission for EGU meeting April 17-22, 2016 in Vienna is
now open and I would like to draw your attention on the session ST1.7
“Insights for Early Predictions of Magnetic and Dynamic Properties of
Interplanetary Coronal Mass Ejections using Observations, Theory and
Modeling”

This session aims at a synergy and discussion of methods, based on
combining observations, theory and modeling for predicting CME
magnetic and dynamic properties relevant for improving long lead-time
space weather forecasts. Also papers discussing on requirements for
such modeling and remote-sensing techniques on in-situ and space
weather perspective are encouraged.

The complete description of the session can be found from

6ta escuela de verano de Los Alamos

The 6th Los Alamos Space Weather Summer School will be held June 6 - July 29, 2016 - in Los Alamos National Laboratory - USA

The summer school was established to bring together top graduate students in space physics, planetary sciences, aerospace engineering, or a related field, with internationally recognized LANL scientists. During the summer school, students receive lectures on various topics related to space physics and space weather and are mentored by a LANL scientist in carrying out a research project. Students will receive a $10,000 fellowship to cover relocation costs and living expenses.

New for 2016: This year's program will include a special short course on Autoplot, given by developer Jeremy Faden. The short course will cover both beginning and advanced techniques.

Applications will be accepted starting in early January. Applications must be received by February 5, 2016. Acceptance notifications will be sent out by the end of February. The summer school is open to all citizenships and applicants must be currently enrolled in a PhD program. Preference will be given to students who have completed at least their second year of studies.

PLEASE NOTE: After the 2016 term, the Los Alamos Space Weather Summer School will not be offered again until 2018.
