Reseach lines in Geodesy from different RAPEAS groups:

Research group GESA ( Spatial Geodesy and Aeronomy) Facultad de Ciencias Astronómicas y Geofísicas (FCAG) -Universidad Nacional de La Plata (UNLP):

System of Geocentric Reference for the Americas (SIRGAS):

GESA takes part actively in the System of Geocentric Reference for the Americas (SIRGAS), a project supported by International Association of Geodesy (IAG) and by the Panamerican Institute of Geography and History (IPGH). Over 50 institutions from different countries in the continent are involved. Its main mission is to set up and sustain the geodesic framework of the region, as a densification of the International Terrestrial Reference Frame (ITRF). A  network of more than 250  GNSS receptors of continuous measurement is used for this purpose.

TIGO Project:

GESA  takes part in TIGO (Transportable Integrated Geodetic Observatory) project. Its aim is to  install  and operate in  Argentina a geodetic observatory which gathers all the observation techniques and other forefront instruments of Spatial Geodesy. TIGO will be one of the few observatories, essential for the materialization of ITRF, set up in the southern hemisphere. TIGO is supported by the German Agency of Geodesy and Mapping and by CONICET in Argentina.
